The Ultimate Vampire Chick Flick

5 Aug

Twilight is probably the most famous chick flick ever, and the ultimate vampire chick flick, simply because of its pure romanticism. Even though Twilight is about vampires, which is a stereotypically male topic, The Twilight Saga movies are classified as chick ficks because the vamps in question are more lovers than fighters. Edward is the ultimate romantic, yet mysterious bad boy and girls wish they could be Bella. Girls everywhere go crazy for Robert Pasttinson who plays the sparkly vampire Edward Cullen. There’s only once word to describe him – “dazzling”.

This picture was taken to accompany an article I wrote for Sweet Designs Magazine ( I am also on the cover this month so check it out). Also check out 10 Reasons Why Girls Love Vampires. Here is a summary:

Chick Flicks Love Dogs

5 Jul

I’m a dog person, in that I absolutely love furry little dogs! The smaller the dog, the cuter :)  Jennifer Aniston has her fair share of dogs in the chick flick Marley & Me (left). There are so many chick flicks that involve dogs, especially puppies. Marley & Me stars a dog, and there’s also Must Love Dogs and The Truth About Cats and Dogs that both feature some adorable furry friends. I suppose it’s because dogs are so cute and cuddly, just like chick flicks.

The right picture is of me when I was in the USA last summer. I was working at a summer camp in North Carolina and this picture was taken on the 4th of July at a white water rafting place. This little puppy was for sale. So cute! Hope it found a good home.

Sixteen Candles

4 Jul

Don’t you just love Eighties chick flicks? The oversized sweaters, the T-shirts, the crazy make-up. The pic on the left is Eighties darling Molly Ringwald as Sam in Sixteen Candles wearing an adorable pink sweater. Molly also stars in another movie where she wears a lot of pink, none other than Pretty in Pink. The pic on the right is of me channeling my inner Molly.

Pink is definitely the chick flick colour, it’s just so girly and pretty. Pink is just so chick flick ;)
